Autism Together: Chamber of Commerce Charity of the Year

Autism Together (in association with app2vox) has been chosen as Wirral Chamber of Commerce’s Charity of the Year.

The award-winning Wirral-based charity, established nearly 50 years ago, has become one of the country’s leading providers of services and support to people and families affected by autism. It now employs a thousand people across the region.

The charity said the new partnership would be a platform to talk to the local business community about fundraising opportunities, as well as enabling great networking opportunities. The partnership will also assist Autism Together in raising awareness and understanding of the challenges those with autism face in day-to-day life.

Robin Bush, CEO at Autism Together, said, “I am absolutely delighted at this news. We’ve always prided ourselves on being an ‘at heart of the community’ charity and to have over 650 members of the Chamber lending us their support this year is a real boost. I’m really excited at the programme of events we have planned and can’t wait for what’s in store.”

The Chamber was impressed by the charity’s community fundraising efforts and its work supporting children, young people and their families.

Paula Basnett, CEO at Wirral Chamber of Commerce, said, “Working together will enable our staff and our Chamber members to understand more about autism by meeting with people with the condition.”

Autism Together has received more than a dozen awards in the last four years in recognition of its high quality services and app2vox would like to congratulate Autism Together on their amazing achievement.
